Manchester United have completed the signing of Swedish international midfielder Julia Zigiotti Olme on a two-year deal with the option of a further year.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Red Devils this morning.
The 27-year-old joins Manchester United from German Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga club Bayern Munich where she has spent the last year. Zigiotti completed a domestic treble with Bayern last season.
Zigiotti has previous experience of playing in the Barclays Women’s Super League. She turned out for Brighton & Hove Albion between 2022 and 2024.
On the international stage, Zigiotti has been capped by Sweden on 47 occasions while she has scored two goals. The player represented her country at UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.
After joining Manchester United, Zigiotti said “I am so happy to be here and so happy to get started and to join this family. I have been watching Manchester United in the last couple of years and having seen what they have been doing, I am very impressed.
“They are a team that fits me and my style, meeting the players has been great. They were like a family and it was a fantastic way to start.”
Zigiotti is Manchester United’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
