Liverpool have completed the permanent signing of forward Beata Olsson from Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan club Kristianstads DFF.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Reds this afternoon.

The 24-year-old attacker has spent her entire senior career to date playing her football in her native Sweden. She has enjoyed spells with Enköping, Uppsala, AIK and Kristianstads DFF. Olsson also spent her early years in the United States where she combined playing football with her studies in Florida.

On the international stage, Olsson has represented Sweden at various youth levels up to and including Under-23 level.

After joining Liverpool, Olsson said “It means so much to me. This is such an historic football club and the best league in the world and I think it’s a great step for me and I’m so excited to be here.

“I’ve always wanted to play in England and to play for a club like Liverpool is just a dream, so for me, this means the world and I’m very excited to get started and to see what I can contribute.

Olsson is new Liverpool head coach Gareth Taylor’s first signing since he arrived at the club earlier this summer.
