Manchester United midfielder Hinata Miyazawa has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Red Devils this afternoon.

It has been reported that Miyazawa will now remain a Manchester United player until at least summer 2029.

The 26-year-old Japanese international joined Manchester United from Mynavi Sendai in summer 2023. Miyazawa has gone on to make 67 appearances for The Red Devils in which she has scored three goals. She is a hugely important member of the team.

Miyazawa was a member of the Manchester United side that won the Adobe Women’s FA Cup for the very first time in 2023/2024 while she was a runner-up with the club last term. This season, Miyazawa has helped Manchester United progress in the UEFA Women’s Champions League while the club have also put up a strong fight for domestic silverware so far.

After signing on again at The Progress With Unity Stadium, Miyazawa said “I am really enjoying playing football at Manchester United and I am really happy to be continuing my journey here.”

News of Miyazawa’s contract extension comes just 24 hours after Manchester United acquired the services of Swedish international defender Hanna Lundkvist.
