Bristol City have re-signed England international forward Katie Robinson from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee.

The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.

The 23-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Ashton Gate. Robinson returns to the club where she made her senior footballing debut back in 2018.

The forward came through the Bristol City academy system before spending two years in and around the first team environment. A four-year spell at Brighton & Hove Albion followed before Robinson joined latest club Aston Villa in summer 2024. The player spent the first half of this season on loan at Everton.

On the international stage, Robinson has five senior caps to her name for England. She made her Lionesses senior debut in an international friendly against Norway in November 2022 and went to the FIFA Women’s World Cup the following year.

After re-joining Bristol City, Robinson said “It’s nice to be back, it’s the club that I started my career at so it’s lovely to be back here again.

“I’ve had some good discussions with Charlotte and Mercury13. Our visions align and I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to be a part of it.”

Robinson is Bristol City’s first signing of the January transfer window.
