Ipswich Town captain Maria Boswell has signed a contract extension with the club for the 2026/2027 season.

The Tractor Girls announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 23-year-old defender joined Ipswich Town from Essex RT in summer 2019. After impressing at academy level, Boswell has gone on to star for the first team. In total, the player has made 115 appearances for Ipswich Town in all competitions. Boswell helped Ipswich Town win promotion to the Third Tier via the upward club movement process in 2020/2021 before winning the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division title in 2024/2025.

Boswell is an Ipswich Town legend and her legacy will now continue to be built next season.

After signing her new deal, Boswell said “I’m so pleased to have signed another new deal at Ipswich Town.

“It’s been an honour to be a part of this special club for so long and I am really excited to continue my journey here.

“I’ve been lucky enough to experience so many brilliant moments throughout my time at Town, and I can’t wait to see how far this group can go.”

Boswell joins Leah Mitchell in signing fresh terms with Ipswich Town this week.
