Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Norwegian international midfielder Emilie Joramo on a free transfer.

The Seagulls announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 24-year-old midfielder will join Brighton & Hove Albion from Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan club Hammarby IF on 1 July 2026 when her contract comes to an end.

Joramo started out with Norwegian club Rosenborg BK before joining Hammarby IF in December 2023. She has gone on to make 85 appearances in all competitions for the Swedish side.

On the international stage, Joramo has been capped by Norway on three occasions. She made her senior international debut back in 2022.

After adding Joramo to his squad, Brighton & Hove Albion boss Dario Vidošić said “Emilie has had an excellent few years in Sweden with Hammarby, challenging for the league title and reaching the Europa Cup final. She has a really strong skillset in that she’s a good ball-winner, comfortable bursting through midfield and has a good range of passing.

“We will give her the time and space to adjust to how we work, but we’re looking forward to having her onboard.”

Joramo is Brighton & Hove Albion’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
