Chelsea full-back Lucy Bronze has signed a new one-year contract with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this morning.

The 34-year-old was due to be out of contract at Stamford Bridge this summer but she has agreed to remain with Chelsea for another year.

Bronze joined Chelsea from Spanish giants FC Barcelona in summer 2024. She went on to win a domestic treble with The Blues in her first season at the club before adding another Subway Women’s League Cup last season. Bronze has made 56 appearances for Chelsea to date in which she has scored five goals.

The 2025/2026 campaign was a disappointing one for Chelsea and Bronze will now be hoping to bring more success back to the club this term.

After signing on again with The Blues, Bronze said “I feel like this is the right thing for me at this time. I’ve really enjoyed the last two years being at Chelsea and back in England, and I feel like we’re in a place now where we’re moving forward as a club. Added to the move to Stamford Bridge, it’s a really exciting time to be part of the team.”

Further Chelsea squad news will be announced in due course.
