Manchester United midfielder Jess Anderson has signed her first professional contract with the club.
The Red Devils announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
The 18-year-old has signed on with Manchester United until summer 2028 while the club hold the option to extend the arrangement by a further year.
After starring as captain of Manchester United’s Under-21 side, Anderson made the breakthrough into senior football last season. She made two appearances for The Red Devils, both of which came from the bench.
Anderson has a bright future and Manchester United have moved to retain her services on a full-time professional basis.
After signing her first professional terms with Manchester United, Anderson said “Signing my first professional contract with Manchester United is a huge honour. It has been an incredible journey so far, and I could not be more grateful to my family and all of the coaches in the Academy for supporting me throughout my development.
“Today is an important milestone, but I’m determined to keep pushing myself and continue to learn in our special environment.”
Anderson joins fellow academy graduates Layla Drury and Scarlett Hill in penning professional terms with Manchester United.
