Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Ipswich Town winger Sophie Peskett on a permanent deal.

The Seagulls announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website earlier today.

The 23-year-old moves to Brighton & Hove Albion after spending the last seven years with Ipswich Town. The Tractor Girls have received a club record transfer fee from the Sussex side for Peskett’s services.

Peskett leaves Ipswich Town having made 127 appearances for the club in all competitions. She won two promotions with the club through the FA Women’s National League system. Peskett made 21 appearances for Ipswich Town in Barclays WSL2 last season in which she scored five goals.

After bringing Peskett to Brighton & Hove Albion, the club’s head coach Dario Vidošić said “Sophie is a good attacking outlet – she got a decent return of goals and assists last season in WSL2.

“We believe she can make the step up to the WSL and we’re excited to give her the platform to test herself at the highest level.”

Peskett is Brighton & Hove Albion’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
