Bristol City have completed the signing of Australian international defender Alexia Apostolakis.

The Robins announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website earlier today.

The 20-year-old joins Bristol City after recently leaving Australian Ninja A-League club Melbourne City.

Despite her young age, Apostolakis has gained plenty of senior playing experience to date. The player has enjoyed three spells with Western Sydney Warriors while she has also turned out for Football NSW Institute, Bankstown City Lions and latest club Melbourne City.

On the international stage, Apostolakis has been heavily involved for Australia at various youth levels. She made her senior debut for the CommBank Matildas in July 2025.

After sealing her move to Bristol City, Apostolakis said “It feels pretty surreal to be here. I got here a few days ago, and I’ve just been taking in the environment.

“I’ve already met quite a few people, and I just feel so welcomed, so I’m really excited to get going.”

Apostolakis is Bristol City’s second signing of the summer transfer window. The club have also acquired the services of Hearts midfielder Eilidh Shore so far this summer. The Robins are expected to make several other new additions before the 2026/2027 season gets underway.
