Birmingham City have completed the signing of defender Jade Rastocle from French club Montpellier HSC for an undisclosed fee.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Blues just a short time ago.
The 22-year-old French defender joins Birmingham City after spending the last two years with Montpellier HSC. She made 42 appearances for La Paillade in all competitions. She helped the club to avoid relegation to the Seconde Ligue last season.
Rastocle started her career with Sarcelles before signing for Stade de Reims. She spent three seasons with The Red and Whites before being snapped up by latest club Montpellier HSC.
On the international stage, Rastocle has represented France at various youth levels up to and including Under-23 level. The next step is for the player to push for honours in the senior squad.
After joining Birmingham City, Rastocle said “I’m very happy to be here. I can see the ambitions of the club, the city and I know it’s a historic club.
“For me, it’s an unbelievable and very big opportunity to play here.”
Rastocle is Birmingham City’s third signing of the summer transfer window. The club have also signed Millie Turner and Lisa Naalsund this summer.
