Everton announce signing of French international midfielder Dali

Everton have announced the signing of French international midfielder Kenza Dali on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old joins The Blue Girls after leaving their Barclays FA Women’s Super League rivals West Ham United at the end of the 2020/2021 campaign.

Everton have reported that the player has signed a two-year deal at Walton Hall Park. She becomes manager Willie Kirk’s first signing of the summer transfer window. It is thought that the deal has been in the pipeline for a number of weeks but Everton held back from announcing the move until Dali’s contract at West Ham United had expired.

Dali has enjoyed an impressive career to date in which she has represented the likes of Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain. The player joined West Ham United in summer 2019 and she went on to score 13 goals in 44 appearances for The Hammers in all competitions.

Upon sealing her move to Everton, Dali said “I’m really happy to join this Club. It’s a big decision for me and I’m really happy and looking forward to start.

“I was impressed by Everton. The way the team plays is really good.

“Everton was a team that I always watched because of French players in the team. I love the way they play.

“The possession style is always attacking, always looking to score. This style is really me.

“As a player, I really imagine myself in a team like this, so I’m really happy to join it.”

Everton boss Kirk is thought to have further transfer deals done therefore there could be news of more new additions in the coming days.
