Chelsea’s teenage forward Beever-Jones loaned to Bristol City

Chelsea’s teenage forward Aggie Beever-Jones has joined FA Women’s Championship promotion hopefuls Bristol City on a season-long loan deal according to reports on The Robins’ official website.

The 18-year-old attacker is rated very highly by her parent club after forcing her way into the senior picture at Kingsmeadow last season.

Beever-Jones came off the bench to make her senior debut for Chelsea in their 4-0 Barclays FA Women’s Super League victory at Aston Villa in January while she also made a cameo appearance in the home victory over the same opponents. The youngster was handed her senior debut as Chelsea defeated London City Lionesses 5-0 in the fifth round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.

The player will now be hoping for a regular run of games in the FA Women’s Championship with Bristol City this season. After joining The Robins, Beever-Jones said “This move to Bristol City is a great opportunity for me to develop my all-round game in a competitive league.

“The club has a great reputation with giving younger players a chance to showcase their ability and get valuable minutes on the pitch, so it should be a great fit for me.

“Everyone has welcomed me into the environment over the last few days and I’m looking forward to getting the season started in a couple of weeks’ time.”

Beever-Jones is the 11th new addition at Bristol City so far this summer and with a little over a week to go until the big kick-off, she may not be the last new face at the Robins’ High Performance Centre.
