Everton complete the club-record signing of FC Rosengård midfielder Bennison

Everton have completed the signing of highly-rated Swedish international midfielder Hanna Bennison from FC Rosengård for a club-record transfer fee according to reports on The Blue Girls’ official website.

The 18-year-old is one of the biggest up and coming talents in European football. FC Rosengård were keen to fend off the transfer interest in Bennison, however, Everton have completed a deal for the player for what is understood to be a club-record transfer fee. The fee is believed to total six figures while Bennison has signed a four-year deal on Merseyside.

Bennison came through the youth ranks at FC Rosengård and she made her senior debut in 2018. The player has represented the Swedish club in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and she was a quarter-finalist in last season’s competition. Bennison has also been capped by Sweden at senior level on 14 occasions.

After completing her move to Everton, Bennison said “It feels amazing to be here. I’m still young, I need to learn a lot, and I think this is the perfect environment for me to grow.

“I like the league in England and we have a very good manager in Willie Kirk. I’ve spoken to him, and the way he sees my game is the way I see myself.

“I think Everton has something big happening – we have a really good squad with a lot of good players.

“I know the Club wants to play in the Champions League. That’s one of my goals, too, and I hope I can help the team reach that.”

Bennison is the third Swedish international to join Everton this summer following the recent additions of Nathalie Björn and Anna Anvegård.
