Leicester City and Manchester City will both be eager to collect three points when they meet at The King Power Stadium this afternoon.
The Foxes have lost all five matches in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League while Manchester City have just four points on the board following an injury-hit start.
Leicester City manager Jonathan Morgan again has a number of injuries to contend with as his side prepare to face The Cityzens. Hannah Cain has been ruled out for the season while she has joined Lachante Paul and Connie Scofield on the sidelines. Sophie Barker and Abbi Grant returned to the squad for the FA Women’s Continental League Cup tie against Everton in midweek and could be involved this afternoon. Goalkeeper Kirstie Levell will return to the side after dropping to the bench for that match.
Manchester City boss Gareth Taylor is sweating over the fitness of forward Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw who missed the midweek win over Durham with a foot injury. She could join Ellie Roebuck, Karen Bardsley, Karima Benameur Taieb, Steph Houghton, Esme Morgan, Lucy Bronze and Chloe Kelly on the sidelines.
The Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture between Leicester City and Manchester City at The King Power Stadium kicks-off at 2pm this afternoon.
