Arsenal will be hoping to take another step towards the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-finals when they face Danish club HB Køge in their fourth group match at Meadow Park on Wednesday.
The two sides met in the reverse fixture a week ago with The Gunners running out 5-1 winners thanks to goals from Steph Catley, Nikita Parris, Caitlin Foord, Anna Patten and Jordan Nobbs. Jonas Eidevall’s side will again be expected to win in a similar style in the return game in Boreham Wood.
Arsenal will welcome Jen Beattie back into the squad after missing the last month through injury. Tobin Heath missed last week’s game against HB Køge but returned to the matchday squad for Saturday’s North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur. Viktoria Schnaderbeck and Malin Gut remain sidelined while The Gunners today revealed the news that Leah Williamson could be out for the remainder of the year with a hamstring injury.
HB Køge head coach Søren Randa-Boldt rotated his squad for Saturday’s 2-0 home victory over AGF in the Elitesivisionen. Defender Laura Guldbjerg Pedersen, midfielder Signe Markvardsen and attacker Cecilie Fløe Nielsen could return to the side to face Arsenal after being rested at the weekend.
The UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage match between Arsenal and HB Køge kicks-off at 8pm on Wednesday and will be available for fans to stream live on DAZN. Tickets remain on sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
