Blackburn Rovers midfielder Parry joins Huddersfield Town on loan

Young Blackburn Rovers midfielder Mia Parry has joined FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club Huddersfield Town on loan.

The Terriers confirmed the deal via a report on their official club website earlier today. The youngster will spend the remainder of the current season with the West Yorkshire club.

Parry joined parent club Blackburn Rovers from Liverpool Feds in the summer but she has played just four minutes of FA Women’s Championship football for Gemma Donnelly’s side this season, remaining as an unused substitute on 10 occasions. The 21-year-old is in desperate need of game time to allow her to develop and she should now get that in the third tier with Huddersfield Town.

After completing her loan move to the Stafflex Arena, Parry said “I am really excited to be joining Huddersfield. I know the quality they possess all over the pitch and I can’t wait to be a part of that. I can’t wait for the new challenge and to hopefully help pick up even more points in this second half of the season.”

Parry could go straight into the Huddersfield Town squad for their FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division fixture at Hull City on Sunday.
