Durham defender Bradley signs new deal

Durham defender Dee Bradley has signed a new deal with the club.

The FA Women’s Championship club confirmed the news this afternoon via an official press release issued to FAWSL Full-Time.

Bradley joined Durham midway through the 2019/2020 season and she has offered manager Lee Sanders plenty of versatility with the player having operated both as a centre-back and in a midfielder anchor role. The 25-year-old is arguably enjoying her best season to date in a Durham shirt. The player has shown her quality in both boxes this season with Bradley helping Durham remain defensively sound whilst also being a threat from set pieces.

Speaking after signing her new deal, Bradley said “This feels pretty amazing.

“It’s something I’ve been working for and it feels like all the hard work is paying-off.

“I do know that the hard work now restarts and I know I have to keep proving myself and helping the team.

“I can’t speak any higher of the girls and I’m super lucky to be at this club.”

One of Bradley’s best performances this season came as Durham drew 2-2 with Manchester United in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup. The player will hope to make another positive impact against top tier opposition when Birmingham City travel to Maiden Castle in the fifth round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup on Sunday 27 February.
