Leicester City have completed the signing of New Zealand international full-back CJ Bott according to reports on The Foxes’ official website.
The 26-year-old Wellington-born defender joins The Foxes on a free transfer after recently leaving Norwegian Toppserien club Vålerenga.
Bott is thought to have been on Leicester City’s radar for a while and the club have now concluded their pursuit of the player.
After completing her move to The King Power Stadium, Bott said “It feels amazing, It’s been a long road to get here with visas and things like that, but it’s so great to finally be here and get among things and meet everyone. It’s awesome, so I’m happy now.
“I’ve definitely wanted to play in England for a long time, so this seemed like a natural move for both me and the Club.”
Bott started her career in Germany with FF USV Jena before moving to Sweden where she joined Vittsjö GIK. The player linked-up with latest club Vålerenga in 2020 and spent around 15 months with the Norwegian outfit.
Leicester City have handed Bott their number four shirt and the player could be in-line to make her debut at Manchester United on Saturday should the necessary clearance be obtained. The Foxes will be looking to again upset The Red Devils and continue their impressive recent spell of form.
