Manchester City will be hoping to boost their European qualification hopes when they face West Ham United at The Chigwell Construction Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
The Cityzens are currently three points adrift of third-placed Manchester United who have played a game more after Manchester City’s fixture last weekend was postponed.
West Ham United go into this weekend’s match in good shape. Youngster Maisy Barker is the only player who is expected to be sidelined. Emma Snerle and Claudia Walker will return to the squad after successfully recovering from COVID-19. Manager Olli Harder could opt to make some tactical changes following the 2-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.
Manchester City head coach Gareth Taylor is set to have forward Chloe Kelly available for selection for the first time this season. The Cityzens remain without Karima Benameur Taieb, Karen Bardsley, Esme Morgan, Steph Houghton and Vicky Losada. Head coach Taylor has confirmed that Morgan and Houghton are unlikely to be back in action before the season ends.
The Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture between West Ham United and Manchester City is scheduled to kick-off at 11.30am on Saturday morning. Tickets for the match remain available and are available to purchase by clicking here.
