Allen joined Aston Villa last summer after helping Midlands rivals Leicester City to the 2020/2021 FA Women’s Championship title. The player’s experience has been crucial in helping Aston Villa develop as a top flight team, Allen has lead by example for The Villans this season. The player has made 19 appearances for Aston Villa in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League while she has scored three goals.
Aston Villa must now look to end the campaign strongly without Allen’s services. Carla Ward’s side travel to Arsenal on Sunday before finishing the season with a Second City derby against Birmingham City at Villa Park next weekend.
