Coventry United midfielder Katy Morris has signed a new contract with the club.
The midfielder joined The Red and Greens back in 2019 and she has been an important member of the team ever since.
Last season saw Morris make the most appearances for Coventry United in a single season so far. The midfielder made 20 appearances for the Warwickshire club in the Barclays Women’s Championship, scoring her only goal as Coventry United defeated Blackburn Rovers 1-0 in March. Morris added real value to the team as they successfully completed an escape from relegation to the FA Women’s National League on the final day of the season.
With Coventry United having reverted to part-time operations earlier this month, new head coach Lee Burch will need players who can up their game to another level in the key moments. Midfielder Morris is certainly one player who is able to do that, she won’t be intimidated by the challenges which the full-time clubs in the division bring. In a summer which will see a turnover of players at the Butts Park Arena, Morris’ deal is great news for Coventry United.
