Tickets for England’s latest international friendly against former world champions Japan have now sold out.
The two well-respected footballing nations will meet on neutral territory at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia, Spain this evening.
The Pinatar Arena has this morning provided an update on ticketing which has confirmed that all tickets for the match have now been sold. A crowd of 3,000 is expected to be in attendance as England look to continue their unbeaten run under latest boss Sarina Wiegman.
England arrive in Spain having beaten world champions, the United States, and having been held to a goalless draw by the Czech Republic in the October international window. There is still plenty of work to be done by the Lionesses ahead of a busy 2023 which will see them compete in three different tournaments.
Latest opponents Japan are unbeaten in nine months since they were dumped out of the 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup on penalties by China. Futoshi Ikeda’s side will be viewed as one of the fancied teams to do well in next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. Japan were crowned world champions back in 2011.
England’s latest international friendly fixture against Japan in Spain kicks-off at 7pm.
