Arsenal announce signing of Danish international midfielder Kühl

Arsenal have completed the signing of highly-rated Danish international midfielder Kathrine Kühl from FC Nordsjælland.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the transfer via an official club press release from The Gunners. Kühl had been linked with a move to North London for a few days therefore today’s news comes as no surprise.

The 19-year-old came through the academy system at FC Nordsjælland before going on to star for the Danish Elitedivisionen outfit. Kühl made 12 league appearances for FC Nordsjælland in the 2022/2023 season while she netted two goals.

On the international stage, Kühl made her senior debut for the Danish national team in April 2021 and she now has 21 caps and one goal to her name.

After completing her move to Arsenal, Kühl said “I’m very excited and am looking forward to playing for Arsenal. It’s a big step for me.

“I feel like there are so many great things around the club; all the fans and the community, it’s like a sisterhood in some way, so I’m looking forward to being a part of that.”

Kühl becomes Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall’s second signing of the January transfer window. The Gunners boss also added Dutch international midfielder Victoria Pelova to his squad yesterday, the player moving to North London from Ajax.
