Leicester City sign Australian international forward Siemsen

Leicester City have completed the signing of Australian international forward Remy Siemsen.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from the East Midlands club this morning.

Siemsen joins Leicester City from Sydney FC, a club that she has represented in three separate spells. The 23-year-0ld has also turned out for Manly United, California Storm, Western Sydney Wanderers and AIK in her senior career to date.

On the international stage, Siemsen made her senior debut for The CommBank Matildas in 2021 and she now has six caps to her name.

After completing her move to Leicester City, Siemsen said “To be joining such a prestigious club is exciting for myself and my family. We’ve all grown up watching English football, and being able to come across and play with a club like Leicester City is dream come true.

“The facilities here are amazing, I’ve never seen a facility so professional before. Everyone has been so welcoming and I feel right at home already. I want to help this team be successful, and every week is a new challenge.”

Siemsen becomes new Leicester City manager Willie Kirk’s first signing in his spell in charge at The King Power Stadium.
