The Football Association have this afternoon confirmed that more than 10,000 tickets have already been snapped up, that’s a greater number than ticket sales for any of the previous FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup finals. With more than three weeks to go until cup final day, there is every chance that many more tickets will be sold.

The current attendance record for a FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final is 8,004 which was set for last season’s final between Chelsea and Manchester City at AFC Wimbledon’s Cherry Red Records Stadium. Prior to that, only two finals have had more than 5,000 fans in attendance.

Arsenal find themselves in this season’s FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final after seeing-off Manchester City in their semi-final tie at the LV Bet Stadium. The two sides could not be separated in normal time but Stina Blackstenius netted the decisive goal in the first half of extra-time.

Chelsea were expecting a tough semi-final themselves as they travelled to West Ham United, however, they eased their way through by winning 7-0. The Blues have featured in the last three FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup finals, winning two and losing the other.

The 2022/2023 FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final takes place at Selhurst Park, the home of Crystal Palace FC, on Sunday 5 March 2023. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
