PREVIEW: Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester United

Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United will be keen to get back into the action when they meet in the FA Women’s Super League at The People’s Pension Stadium in Crawley this evening.

Storm Ciara forced the cancellation of all of last weekend’s FA Women’s Super League matches, it was Manchester United’s second postponement in 2020 after their recent trip to Liverpool was washed out.

Brighton & Hove Albion go into this evening’s contest having reduced their relegation fears with a 1-0 victory over Everton at The People’s Pension Stadium last time out. That victory was their second on the bounce after impressively seeing off second tier club Aston Villa 3-2 in their Women’s FA Cup fourth round tie at the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground in Boldmere.

Manchester United will be hoping for better luck in Sussex this evening. After leading 1-0 at Reading in their last match, a diabolical refereeing decision handed The Royals the opportunity to level the match from the penalty spot, a gift which was gratefully taken by Kelly Chambers’ side.

Failure to collect three points means that Manchester United are now winless in three matches in all competitions.

Tonight’s match is scheduled to kick-off at 7.45pm and admission will be available on the gate.
