Arsenal will be hoping to kick on from Sunday’s FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final success when Liverpool provide the opposition for a Barclays Women’s Super League fixture at the LV Bet Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Gunners ended a four-year trophy drought with a 3-1 victory over Chelsea in the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final at Selhurst Park on Sunday. Arsenal have plenty to do in the Barclays Women’s Super League and they will be aiming to collect a hugely important three points from the game against Liverpool.
Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall is not expected to have any fresh injury concerns to contend with. Forwards Vivianne Miedema and Beth Mead are out for the season while goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo continues to battle to regain fitness following a short-term injury.
Liverpool manager Matt Beard continues to be without the services of forward Leanne Kiernan who will be sidelined until at least the end of April. On loan Reading forward Natasha Dowie is also out while Beard revealed in the pre-match press conference that the number of absentees could be as high as seven.
