Brighton & Hove Albion complete signing of Spanish midfielder Losada

Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the impressive signing of Spanish midfielder Vicky Losada.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls this afternoon.

Losada joins Brighton & Hove Albion from Italian champions AS Roma. The experienced midfielder spent the second half of last season with the Serie A Femminile TIM club.

The player is no stranger to the English game. Losada has enjoyed successful spells with Arsenal and Manchester City in recent years. She will now be hoping to impress in the Barclays Women’s Super League once again after signing for new club Brighton & Hove Albion.

After acquiring Losada’s services, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Melissa Phillips said “We are very happy to welcome Vicky to Brighton & Hove Albion. She’ll bring an abundance of experience to the team both on and off the pitch in the new season ahead.

“She’s achieved much success in her career and that will help drive the winning mentality within our squad. We are certain that her knowledge of the game will add to the identity that we are continuing to build as a group.”

Losada becomes Brighton & Hove Albion boss Phillips’ second signing of the summer transfer window.
