Charlton Athletic sign London City Lionesses forward Muya

Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of London City Lionesses forward Karin Muya ahead of the new season.

The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.

Muya joins Charlton Athletic on a free transfer. She has signed an initial one-year deal with the South East Londoners.

The forward has spent the last two seasons with London City Lionesses. She has made 40 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Championship while she has scored nine goals. Muya has operated on the right side of the London City Lionesses attack but she would be equally as comfortable in a central role.

After completing her move to Charlton Athletic, Muya said “Speaking with Karen [Hills] and already knowing some of the girls who were here  it just seemed like such an easy decision to make.

“The club’s values and their style of play really aligned and stuck out to me.

“I am very excited to get started, everyone has been so warm and welcoming.”

Muya becomes Charlton Athletic head coach Karen Hills’ eighth signing of the summer transfer window. The forward will add to the array of experienced options that The Addicks have in their squad this season.
