Manchester United attacker Keira Barry has joined Barclays Women’s Championship club Crystal Palace on loan for the 2023/2024 season.
The Eagles announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
Barry has come through the youth ranks at Manchester United. She made her senior debut for the club in a FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup group stage match against Sheffield United last December but she is still awaiting her first appearance in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
The next step in Barry’s career is to go out and get some elite playing experience under her belt and she has today agreed to join Crystal Palace on loan for the coming season.
After joining the South Londoners, Barry said “I feel really good – I’m really excited to get going. I’m excited by the ambition of what the managers want to get out of this season, and it matches what I want, to be challenging for titles.
“I know I need to get exposure to different types of leagues, and that’s what Crystal Palace want to do; challenge for this year’s title and kick on in the women’s game. Everyone’s got high spirits and it feels like a really good environment.”
Crystal Palace start the new season with a home fixture against Reading on Sunday afternoon.
