Everton sign forward Dale

Everton have completed the signing of forward Eleanor Dale on a free transfer.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blue Girls this evening.

Dale spent the early part of her career playing in the North East of England. She turned out for Middlesbrough in the third tier before getting her first taste of elite football in a brief stint at Durham. Dale then moved to the United States to combine playing football with her studies. During her time Stateside, Dale turned out for the Nebraska Huskers.

The player has now returned to England and she is set to experience the Barclays Women’s Super League for the first time with Everton.

After joining The Blue Girls, Dale said “I’m really excited to be here. It’s been my dream to play in the Women’s Super League. 

“I’m thankful I’ve got this opportunity to come to this amazing club. 

“My priority last year was to have a good season and try get my foot in the door over here.  

“Hopefully I can make a difference and hit the ground running.”

Everton manager Brian Sørensen has now signed three players in the January transfer window.
