Crystal Palace have re-signed attacking midfielder Annabel Blanchard on a free transfer.
The Eagles announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
The 24-year-old re-joins Crystal Palace after leaving the club earlier this summer. She has signed a two-year deal with the South Londoners.
Blanchard intially joined Crystal Palace in summer 2022 after leaving former club Blackburn Rovers. The player went on to make 72 appearances for The Eagles in all competitions. She was a Barclays WSL2 title-winner with the club in 2023/2024 and represented Crystal Palace in the top flight last term.
The midfielder’s Crystal Palace career seemed to be over, however, all parties have completed a U-turn and Blanchard has now returned to Selhurst Park.
After re-joining Crystal Palace, Blanchard said “I’d had a couple of conversations with Jo [Potter] and heard what her ambitions are with the club and what we can do next season, and I’m just excited to get going.
“Crystal Palace means a lot to me. I’ve got a lot of love and respect for the club, and I feel the love from the fans, so I’m excited to get going and play in front of them again.”
Blanchard is Crystal Palace’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
