Watford have completed the signing of midfielder Ellie Noble on a free transfer.
The Golden Girls announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.
The 26-year-old joins Watford off the back of a successful spell in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division with Plymouth Argyle. She netted 10 goals in 21 league outings for The Pilgrims last season as the club pushed Watford all the way in the title race.
There has been a change in direction at Plymouth Argyle over the summer with Noble leaving the club. She has now sealed a return to second tier football with Watford.
Noble has plenty of Barclays WSL2 experience under her belt. She has previously turned out for Lewes, Crystal Palace and Blackburn Rovers in the second tier. The player will hope to make a significant contribution to Watford’s cause as they bid to remain in the second tier for longer than one season. The Golden Girls have a history of struggling in the division but they will be keen to write a new chapter in 2026/2027.
Noble is Watford’s second signing of the summer transfer window. The Golden Girls have also signed defender Zara Bailey during the close season.
