Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Maisie Symonds has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls earlier today.
The 23-year-old joined Brighton & Hove Albion in 2021 and she soon signed her first professional contract with the club. Symonds has gone on to establish herself as a leading player for the Sussex side and she now holds the captain’s armband. The midfielder has made 103 appearances for Brighton & Hove Albion in all competitions and was an Adobe Women’s FA Cup runner-up with the club last season.
After signing on again with Brighton & Hove Albion for the long term, Symonds said “I’m very happy. I feel so at home here. It’s the only club I’ve ever played for professionally and I feel I’ve grown so much over the last six years along with the club and the women’s team.
“It really felt like we are setting high standards for ourselves with what we’ve been building in the last two years. We are starting to reach our potential, and we only want to get better and better.”
Further Brighton & Hove Albion squad news will be announced by the club in due course.
