Charlton Athletic sign forward Azzaro on loan

Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of French forward Lorena Azzaro on a season-long loan deal from Paris FC.

The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website earlier today.

The 25-year-old former French youth international attacker joined Paris FC from their Arkema Première Ligue rivals RC Strasbourg last summer. Azzaro netted eight goals in 20 matches in the French top flight in 2025/2026.

Azzaro has spent her entire career to date playing her football in her native France but she will now test herself in the Barclays Women’s Super League with Charlton Athletic.

On the international stage, Azzaro has represented France up to Under-20 level.

After making the move to The Valley, Azzaro said “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Charlton. I can’t wait to meet the staff, my new teammates, the fans, to experience the club’s atmosphere and of course, the city of London. I’m really looking forward to this adventure getting started.

“Playing in the Barclays Women’s Super League, which I consider one of the best leagues in the world, is a huge source of motivation. I really can’t wait for the season to start.”

Azzaro is Charlton Athletic’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
