Newcastle United sign midfielder Bradley

Newcastle United have completed the signing of midfielder Katie Bradley on a free transfer.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Magpies this afternoon.

The 24-year-old midfielder joins Newcastle United after leaving former club Charlton Athletic earlier this summer. Bradley was promoted to the Barclays Women’s Super League with The Addicks last season via a play-off tie. The player spent two years at The Valley in which she made 53 appearances for Charlton Athletic and scored 13 goals.

Prior to her spell with Charlton Athletic, Bradley turned out for Blackburn Rovers in Barclays WSL2. She also spent time in the US college system with UCF Knights at the University of Central Florida.

On the international stage, Bradley has been involved with England up to Under-23 level.

After joining Newcastle United, Bradley said “It’s a huge club and a big opportunity. I didn’t really need convincing that this is where I wanted to be.

“The ambition of the club is huge and it’s a project that I want to be part of. I want to develop and help the team, and this felt like the right place.”

Bradley is Newcastle United’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window.
