Last season’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup finalists Chelsea and Arsenal will meet in the group stage of this year’s competition after the draw was made by The Football Association earlier this morning.
Emma Hayes and Joe Montemurro’s sides will meet in Group B alongside fellow Barclays FA Women’s Super League club Tottenham Hotspur and second tier outfit the London City Lionesses.
There will be a Manchester derby as Manchester United and Manchester City meet in Group C, a group of death which also includes Everton and Liverpool.
Elsewhere, 2019/2020 FA Women’s Championship title rivals Aston Villa and Sheffield United will renew their battle in Group A while big spenders Leicester City will be hopeful of qualifying for the knockouts after being drawn in the only three-team group alongside Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers.
