FA Women’s Championship club London Bees have this evening confirmed that loanee Helen Ward has returned to parent club Watford.
The 34-year-old Brent-born forward joined The Bees on dual registration terms back in February with Watford’s FA Women’s National League season having been brought to a halt by COVID-19.
In her time with The Bees, Ward made four appearances but failed to score a goal. She was most recently in action for the FA Women’s Championship club in their 7-0 home defeat to promotion-chasing Leicester City at the start of this month.
Watford return to action this weekend following a three-month lay-off with a home Vitality Women’s FA Cup second round tie against Milton Keynes Dons. With Ward needed for that match, it has today been confirmed that she has returned to her parent club.
The news was confirmed by loan club London Bees in a post on their official club Twitter account.

Ward is a hugely experienced forward with the player having represented the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea earlier in her career. The striker has been playing her club football with Watford since 2017.
Ward is the all-time top goalscorer for the Welsh national team with 43 goals in 89 appearances.
