Welcome to this week’s update from the Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club.
It has been another busy week for us. As well as the ongoing preparations for the new season which includes matters such as travel planning for away games, we have been heavily involved in the club’s participation of the Manchester Pride events this week.
Firstly, last Thursday we attended the ceremony to mark the raising of the Pride flag at the Etihad Stadium along with our friends from the Canal St Blues Official Supporters’ Club and club officials. Former Manchester City players Paul Dickov and Alex Williams were also present.
On Saturday, many of our members joined in the Pride parade through the city centre streets. Manchester City provided an open top bus and a gloriously sunny day made for a really memorable experience for all involved.
We are always very proud to support and participate in the event and we send our thanks to Manchester City, the Canal St Blues and all involved in organising the celebrations.
We are now extremely close to the start of the new season and we hope that everybody is as excited as we are.
We will be back again next week with another update.
