FA Women’s Championship club Charlton Athletic are urging supporters to buy tickets in advance of their Women’s FA Cup fourth round tie with Chelsea with the match expected to be a sell-out.
The Addicks are set to take on the FA Women’s Super League giants at The Oakwood, home of VCD Athletic on Sunday 26 January.
The Crayford-based venue has an overall capacity of just 1,180, the smallest home ground of any club in the top two tiers of the women’s game and Charlton Athletic are expecting to sell all tickets for the match.
To ensure that fans of both clubs avoid disappointment, Charlton Athletic have today encouraged booking tickets in advance with matchday admission not expected to be available unless all tickets have not been sold.
A reminder that fans should purchase tickets in advance for our FA Cup clash against @ChelseaFCW as it is likely to be a sellout.

The Addicks’ fourth round opponents Chelsea are aiming to win the Women’s FA Cup for a third time after previously lifting the trophy at Wembley in 2015 and 2018. The Blues were agonisingly close to reaching the final last season but were defeated 1-0 by Manchester City at The Academy Stadium with the unfortunate Magda Eriksson netting a late own goal.
Charlton Athletic suffered an embarrassing fourth round exit last season, losing 5-4 on penalty kicks to lower division opposition in the form of Huddersfield Town. The sides battled to a 3-3 draw after 120 minutes of football at The Oakwood.
