Bristol City forward Abi Harrison has returned to light training as she looks to make a successful comeback from her Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury.
The 22-year-old former Hibernian striker has been out of action since mid-November after sustaining the injury in The Robins’ 3-3 draw with Reading at The Madejski Stadium.
Harrison went under the surgeon’s knife in December and was ruled out of action for the remainder of the season. There is now some positive news for the player with Harrison having resumed light training. Bristol City have today posted a video on their official Twitter account showing the forward stepping up her rehabilitation with some light running, footage which will delight the club’s fans.

Harrison joined Bristol City in January 2019 from Scottish Women’s Premier League side Hibs where she had twice won the division’s Golden Boot. The striker netted her first Barclays FA Women’s Super League goal for Bristol City in the 2-1 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in October. She also has found the net on two occasions in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup this season.
It has been a particularly good week for Bristol City on the injury front. Teenagers Georgia Wilson and Jess Woolley have also been pictured building their rehabilitation from their respective long term injuries.
