Cleverly was involved in all 12 matchday squads for Lewes’ FA Women’s Championship fixtures last season as the club recorded a respective eighth-place finish in what was just their second season in the second tier. The defender made 11 starts, helping her side concede the fourth-lowest number of goals in the entire division.
The player becomes the fifth member of Lewes’ 2019/2020 squad to extend her current contract at The Dripping Pan. Cleverly joins Filippa Savva, Charley Boswell, Paula Howells and Samantha Quayle is signing on with The Rookettes for the coming season.
Lewes are set to start their third season in the FA Women’s Championship on the first weekend in September with the opening month of fixtures expected to be played behind-closed-doors with social distancing measures still in place as the UK continues to battle against the Coronavirus pandemic.
