Charlton Athletic forward Rea Laudat has extended her stay with the club for the 2020/2021 season according to reports on The Addicks’ official website.
Laudat only joined Riteesh Mishra’s side in February of this year from fellow FA Women’s Championship side Crystal Palace prior to the season being abruptly cut short.
“Charlton is a club that is going to help me grow in my footballing abilities” Laudat said upon signing her new deal. “I am happy to be a part of this team and excited for the new season to begin.
“Individually, I would like to take my game to the next level, and as a team I want us to play good football and for it to be a winning season for us.”
The 26-year-old has previous experience playing for current Barclays FA Women’s Super League sides West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur while Laudat has also played college football in the United States.
Charlton Athletic finished bottom of the FA Women’s Championship table last season on a points-per-game basis despite them having two games in hand on some of the teams above them. If they had won any of those games, they would have clawed themselves off the basement. Thankfully for The Addicks, there was no relegation from the division, meaning that they are able to fight once again in the FA Women’s Championship.
