Chelsea reportedly set to smash Bundesliga transfer record to land Harder

Chelsea are thought to be set to smash the FLYERALARM Frauen-Bundesliga transfer record with The Blues expected to complete the signing of VfL Wolfsburg attacker Pernille Harder for a significant six-figure fee according to reports by SportBuzzer.de.

The 27-year-old Danish international has been linked with both Chelsea and Manchester United during the last few months with the player now in the final year of her current contract with German champions VfL Wolfsburg.

The forward is set to feature for the She-Wolves in tomorrow’s UEFA Women’s Champions League final against reigning European champions Lyon in San Sebastian, however, it is thought that the match could be Harder’s last as a VfL Wolfsburg player.

Reports by German media outlet SportBuzzer has suggested that Harder will join Chelsea after the final in a deal reportedly worth a little over £300,000, a transfer fee which would be the biggest ever received by a FLYERALARM Frauen-Bundesliga club.

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes is thought to have had her sights on up to six new signings this summer. Should Harder move to Kingsmeadow, she will become The Blues boss’ fifth addition following the recent signings of Melanie Leupolz, Silvana Flores, Jessie Fleming and Niamh Charles.

The Dane has netted more than 100 goals for VfL Wolfsburg in all competitions in just three-and-a-half years with the club and she would certainly be a welcome addition should she join Chelsea.
