Spurs’ head coaches sign new two-year deals

Tottenham Hotspur’s head coaches Karen Hills and Juan Amoros have signed new two-year deals with the club according to reports on Spurs’ official website.

The pair have been instrumental in the rise of Spurs’ women’s team in recent years, helping the club transition from the lower leagues into a full-time outfit in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.

It has today been reported that Hills and Amoros have extended their stays with the North Londoners until summer 2022. the new deals will see Hills complete 15 years of service with Spurs while Amoros will enter his second decade with the club.

Spurs’ rapid rise from the FA Women’s Championship to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League meant that last season was always going to be very challenging for head coaches Hills and Amoros. The pair negotiated their way through their latest test with flying colours, guiding Spurs to an excellent seventh-place finish in their maiden season in the top flight.

The North Londoners look well-equipped for another solid campaign in 2020/2021 with Hills and Amoros having added both top flight and National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) experience to their squad over the summer.

Spurs begin the new season with a London derby against West Ham United at The Hive on Sunday.
