Birmingham City manager Carla Ward has completed her fourth summer signing in Everton defender Georgia Brougham.
The Blues have confirmed via their official club website that the 24-year-old has returned to the SportNation.bet Stadium on loan for the coming season after initially joining Birmingham City in January.
Brougham made two appearances for the Blues in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League last season before the season was prematurely brought to a close as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. The player will now have the opportunity to showcase her quality further during her second stay at the club.
The defender joins Christie Murray, Chloe McCarron and Rachel Corsie in signing up to the Ward revolution at Birmingham City. She could be in-line to make her second debut for the Blues against Brighton & Hove Albion in the club’s 2020/2021 Barclays FA Women’s Super League season opener at The People’s Pension Stadium on Sunday.
Brougham started her career with Manchester City where she went on to make a handful of first team appearances before moving to Everton in 2016. The defender was initially a regular for The Blue Girls but struggled for game time during the first half of last season, resulting in her initial loan move to Birmingham City.
The return of Brougham to Birmingham City has been hailed by fans who are cleared delighted to see the player back at the club.
