Former Crystal Palace and London Bees forward Nikita Whinnett has joined FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division club Crawley Wasps.
The 29-year-old attacker moves to the Sussex club after recently leaving FA Women’s Championship outfit London Bees.
Whinnett initially spent the 2019/2020 campaign playing in Lee Burch’s side and she netted four goals in 10 FA Women’s Championship appearances. The forward left the club in the summer but she opted to re-join The Bees on the eve of the new season. Whinnett made three further appearances for London Bees before recently leaving The Hive for a second time.
New club Crawley Wasps announced the signing of Whinnett via their official club Twitter account yesterday.

Whinnett joins a Crawley Wasps side who have ambitions of becoming an FA Women’s Championship club in the coming years. The Wasps were top of the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division last season prior to the early curtailment of the campaign.
In addition to London Bees, the attacker can also count the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, Charlton Athletic and Crystal Palace amongst her former clubs. She will undoubtedly help improve a Crawley Wasps side who have been a little inconsistent in the early stages of the new season.
