Chelsea trio Maria Thorisdottir, Maren Mjelde and Guro Reiten have all been named in the Norway squad for the upcoming fixtures against Belarus and Wales later this month.
The trio are joined in Martin Sjogren’s squad by fellow English-based players Cecilie Fiskerstrand of Brighton & Hove Albion, Everton’s Ingrid Moe Wold and Reading’s Amalie Eikeland.
Chelsea defender Mjelde could collect her milestone 150th senior international cap for Norway during the upcoming fixtures while Everton’s Wold is one appearance away from her 75th senior cap.
Norway will take on Belarus at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo on Wednesday 21 October before facing Wales at Rodney Parade in Newport six days later. Both fixtures are qualifying matches for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022.
The Norwegian Football Association, the NFF, announced head coach Sjogren’s squad via a post on their official Twitter account earlier today.
Det nærmer seg samling for A-kvinner igjen.

A 1-0 home victory over Wales last time out gave Norway clear breathing space in the race to qualify for England 2022. Sjogren’s side have a perfect record in qualifying so far with five wins out of five. Victory over Belarus in the first of their two upcoming fixtures will see Norway secure their place in the tournament finals.
