PREVIEW: Chelsea v Everton

Chelsea will be looking to extend their winning run in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League when they face Everton at Kingsmeadow on Sunday.

The Blues have won all of their last three matches in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League and their title defence is beginning to gather momentum.

Chelsea manager Emma Hayes will again be without the services of injured forward Fran Kirby ahead of the visit of Everton. The Blues boss fielded a very strong XI against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup in midweek and many of those players who started that match could retain their places to face Everton. Should Hayes opt to make changes, the likes of Sophie Ingle, Jess Carter, Guro Reiten and Beth England and those players most likely to come in.

Everton return to action seven days on from their Wembley heartache as they were narrowly defeated by Manchester City in the 2019/2020 Vitality Women’s FA Cup final. Manager Willie Kirk will be without influential pair Lucy Graham and Valerie Gauvin for the trip to Kingsmeadow with both players nursing knocks picked up last weekend.

Chelsea’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against Everton kicks-off at noon on Sunday and will be available to watch live both on the BBC Red Button and on the FA Player.
